Michael Savadge serves as the Pastor of Student Ministry. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Michael moved to northeast Georgia as a child. At the age of 16, through the Christ-like lives of some friends, he became aware of his need for a Savior and recognized that salvation from the penalty of sin comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone. After high school Michael attended Missouri Baptist University on a baseball scholarship. During his junior year of college he felt God’s call on his life to minister to teenagers and their families. In 2005, Michael was married to Krista and the next month they moved to Harrison, Arkansas to fulfill the passion and calling that God had given them. He has served the teenagers and families at Bear Creek Springs Baptist Church (Harrison, Arkansas) and Country Acres Baptist Church (Wichita, Kansas). In November 2012, Michael and Krista moved to Chickamauga to serve the students and families of FBC. His desire is to make disciples and to equip them for the work God has called them to. Michael has a B.S. in Religion from Liberty University. He and Krista have three children: Madisyn, Callie, and Camden.
