ROYAL SCHOOL & ORPHANAGE, Kampala, Uganda, Africa:
FBC has been involved for the past several years with two Ugandan ministries. The Royal School & Orphanage in Kampala serves approximately 800 Ugandan orphans. Through the visit of the Royal School's Choir Tour we have financially supported their ministry which recently involved a move to a new facility outside of the city along with the construction and completion of a new "impossible" water well.
Many of our members and their Sunday School Classes are involved in providing individual scholarships for young men and women to recieve an education in this economically depressed country. If you would like more information on how you can help Royal School, please contact Susan Veazey here at First Baptist Church.
PENNIES FOR POSHO, Uganda, Africa: Dr. Ted Moody has been travelling to Uganda bringing hope and food for
years. After seeing the needs of children and being burdened by God's Word, he founded Pennies For Posho.

Pennies For Posho is a non-profit organization that is committed to helping feed the hungry and starving children of Africa as we obey James 1:27, "Take care of orphans...in their distress."
Every penny given to Pennies For Posho is taken to Africa to purchase posho, rice, beans, cooking oil, etc. These supplies are then personally delivered to feeding stations. As funds are available, Pennies for Posho also purchases mosquito netting to protect children from the dreaded disease of malaria. To raise funds for Pennies for Posho, Ugandan Thunder, an eight member Ugandan boys group performed at FBC this past spring. Click here for pictures of Ugandan Thunder.
