Partnering with Power of Prayer Ministries in Waveland, MS
Four years ago Waveland, MS was blasted by the eye of Hurricane Katrina.
Answering the call of God and those in need, one of FBC's Missions Teams made our church's fourth trip back to the Gulf Coast and Waveland. This particular trip associated us with the Power of Prayer Ministries. Power of Prayer Ministries is a SBC North American Mission Board supported mission work ministering to the people whose lives were devastated by the 2004 hurricane, Katrina. It was a pleasure to get to know and serve alongside Linda and Dave, the owners and directors of Power of Prayer Ministries. We we have continued our partnership with Power of Prayer in 2010, and look forward to our next opportunity to work with them again in the near future. If you would like to keep up with what is goin on in the Gulf Coast, link to the Power of Prayer Ministry's Blog by clicking here!

2010 Annie Armstrong Offering for N. American Missions
FBC is a church dedicated to Southern Baptist Missions. In the last 5 years, we have increased our North American Missions Offering Goals by over 360% and have met every one! The 2010 goal of $5500 was just a couple hundred dollars from being attained on our last scheduled week of giving. By holding the offering over one additional week, almost $1000 in additional funds were raised. These gifts bring our 2010 Annie Armstrong North American Missions Offering to a final total of $6145, more than 10% over our original giving goal!
To God be the glory! Great things He has done!
