American Girl Trip for Notebook Rewards!

Two of our girls received a trip to the American Girl store at North Point Mall in Alpharetta as a reward for reaching 1,000 points in our Notebook Rewards program! 4th and 5th graders receive points for taking sermon notes and memorizing Bible verses. Well done, girls!

3rd annual sports camp

We had the most awesome sports camp ever!

Pathways: During our Sunday morning worship service, boys and girls ages three through five spend time together in Pathways, our preschool children's church, where they enjoy age-appropriate songs, Bible stories and movies, snacks, and free play with in various centers, including kitchen, blocks, and puzzles and books.  When weather allows, they also get to enjoy our great playground!  Our goal for Pathways is to set young children on course to know that God's Word truly is a light for their paths!

Trailblazers: After they are set on a path for God, our Kindergarten – 3rd Grade children become Trailblazers. During Sunday morning worship, these boys and girls begin to discover the principles behind the Bible stories that they become familiar with in Pathways. Learning is enhanced by games and activities. In addition, boys and girls in both Pathways and Trailblazers are provided daily devotion Bible reading to take home every Sunday. When they read and return their devotion pages, they are rewarded with prizes from The Treasure Chest!

Notebook Rewards:  Children in grades 4 and 5 attend 11:00 Worship Service with their families.  They are provided cool pens and notebooks to use for sermon notes.  Points are given for sermon notes and Scripture memory. When they reach 100 points, the boys and girls are rewarded with special actitivites with Mrs. Susan.  Past activities include a visit to a ceramic shop where they painted a ceramic figure of their choice, special art projects, and a trip to SnoBiz for sno-cones!

Sunday School:  Children enjoy learning Bible verses, stories and a variety of songs.

Just4Fun: FBC children and their guests love the monthly Just4Fun activities. Children (and their parents if they like) have a time of just plain fun with activities like Winter Wonderland, Icky Art Day and an overnight Lock-In!

Story ‘n Song: The 2nd Tuesday of each month finds us with area preschoolers in our Pathways room where we read books, sing songs, have an art or craft activity, and play outside--all while and sharing                       the story of Jesus.

Joyful Noise and HeartSounds:

Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM, FBC children have the opportunity to join their voices in praise to God in song with the Joyful Noise Choir for preschoolers and HeartSounds for elementary students. In addition, they hear interesting Bible stories, pray for family, friends and missionaries and have crafts, game time, and other enrichment activities!  Our children's choirs sing in church several times throughout the year and have a Sunday morning Christmas program the second Sunday of December.

Purpose

The purpose of FBC Children's Ministries is to work with parents and church leaders to win boys and girls to Jesus Christ and help them grow in Him.
