STEPS TO PLANNING YOUR VISIT

1. CHOOSE A WORSHIP SERVICE

Our worship services here at FBC Chickamauga vary in style and presentation. We offer an amazing Student Ministry led by our youth pastor, Michael Savadge, as he challenges the students spiritually and mentally offering Bible studies, games, activities, and study groups. For the kids, we have a great Children’s Ministry in which our children are led to know and love Jesus through music, teaching, and enrichment activities. Thad Key, our Senior Pastor challenges us every Sunday, answering our theological questions and leading us through the Bible. If you are more into singing we have a fantastic music ministry. Jimmy Cooley our music minister, is happy to welcome you into the Chancel Choir or congregational singing.

2. CHOOSE A SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS

Sunday school classes offer a variety of ways to learn. They provide community, intimacy and opportunities to grow in your relationship with Jesus, as well as deepen relationships with your brothers and sisters in Christ. We offer a host of options for your Sunday School needs. We have a Nursery as well as classes for preschool, K-2nd, and 3rd-5th for all kids. They will learn the fundamentals of Christianity through age appropriate songs and Bible stories. The youth group has a Sunday School class in which they learn more about Jesus and how to defend their beliefs. For young adults our Senior Pastor has a class, in which you will learn about faith and how to live as a man or woman of God. Also, a class for young women is available in which Bible study and topical studies strengthen and spiritually mature ladies as they follow Christ. For middle aged men and women we offer two classes. Seminar and Cornerstone, both classes challenge adults to dig deep into God’s Word and grow in their walk with Christ. For senior men we have the primetime class and for the adult and senior women we have the Dorcas and Euzelian/T.E.L. classes. Each offers a comfortable and calm environment to study the Bible and to learn more about our Savior and Lord, while strengthening relationships with other ladies through sharing, prayer, and service.

3. WHAT TO WEAR

Dress for Sunday morning services ranges from casual or business casual to a suit and tie or dress. Those attending services other than Sunday morning are very relaxed and casually dressed. Nevertheless, we focus more on what you learn than what you look like. We focus on internal aspects such as spiritual guidance and a healthy relationship with God. No matter what you are wearing, come as you are and be part of the FBC family!

4. WHAT TO EXPECT

Once you arrive, greeters will be readily available to help you or you and your family get settled in for an exciting morning. Activities are provided for children ages birth through 5th grade, giving adults the ability to attend both Sunday school and Worship comfortably, knowing that your child is in a safe, loving environment. At FBC we try our hardest to focus of Jesus Christ in all aspects so we really stress learning and development through reading scripture, praying, and having a personal relationship with the Father.
