Chris Morgan
Senior Pastor

Chris was called to serve as Pastor to First Baptist Church of Chickamauga in January of 2006. He is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. He also has a Master of Science Degree in Sport Administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville (GO VOLS!) and a Bachelor of Arts from Carson-Newman College. Chris is married to the former Melanie Parlin.

Jimmy Cooley
Minister of Worship & Music

Jimmy has served as Minister of Worship & Music at FBC since the fall of 1990. What began as a 3-week fill-in has lasted 20 years. Jimmy is a native of Chattanooga and graduate of UT Chattanooga. Jimmy owns and operates Cooley's Fine Clothing Store in Red Bank, TN. He is married to the former Janie Smith, his wonderful and lovely wife.

Susan Veazey
Director of Children's Ministries

Susan began her work with FBC's Children and their parents in December 2007 as FBC's first Director of Children's Ministries. Susan is also a registered nurse. She has been married to her husband Marc for over 25 years after being high & middle school sweethearts. Marc and Susan have two sons, Kyle, who is in his 20's, and Gabriel, an almost high-schooler at Gordon-Lee.

Wayne McDonough
Minister to Students

Wayne has served FBC as Student Minister since August 2004. Wayne is also a supervisor with Shop Rite Grocery Stores in the tri-state region. A native Chickamaugan and huge UTC Mocs fan, he is married to Stacy. They have two boys, Matthew, a middle-schooler at Oakwood Chritian Academy, and John, a pre-school linebacker.

Diane Dzenko
Church Secretary

Diane has made sure that the offices at First Baptist have been smoothly running since coming on staff in November 2006. Originally from Michigan, and by way of Texas, Diane and her husband Bob have two grown daughters, Corey and Chelsea, and a middle-school-aged daughter, Alissa.

Nelson Mullens
Custodian

Nelson has been on FBC's staff for over 5 years serving the needs of the church. A tireless worker, Nelson oversees the day-to-day physical operations of FBC's campus. He and his wife, Beth, have one grown daughter, Stacy, and two awesome grandsons. Nelson can do just about anything, and we are so glad he works here with us at FBC.
